The other day I was clearing out an old hard drive — yes, I know how to live — when I came across a file called — “The Bali 2025 plan” — which I had completely forgotten about. I knew what it contained, but I hadn’t looked at it in years. I cautiously opened it.
OK, so I created the file on Wednesday, 9 Sep 2015, 08:35 when I was in Bali, I last reviewed it in 2017, and I last opened it sometime in 2019.
Why was I in Bali? Well, I was ‘recovering’ from a fairly hellish 3 years working on a project in South East Asia. And, while in Bali, I decided to take stock of things and plan for my future and my retirement.
If you don’t have a plan — you should make one.
My first plan
Sadly, the “The Bali 2025 plan” was not my first retirement plan, it was at least my second because on the same hard drive I found the ‘2020 plan’ which — you guessed it — was an earlier plan, and it hadn’t worked.
Time to plan again.
The Bali 2025 plan
In 2015, I was going through a fairly rough time. I had been working all hours for nearly three years to complete a project — a project that was sold to me with many promises, most of which were broken during the time and after.
I needed a plan….
I needed an out….
I made a plan….
And over the next few posts I will tell you about my plan, and hopefully convince you that you need to make a plan, stick to the plan and move on to the next stage of your life.
So, why not sign up now and find out what happened next!
